Lay Hold of a Promise
Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Ephesians 3:20

"Get your feet on a promise; it will give you purchase enough to force open the gates of heaven and to take it. When you can lay hold of a promise, you have a leverage with God which enables you to count upon the fulfillment of your petition. God cannot go back from His word. He could no more disappoint faith than He could deny Himself." F. B. Meyer from Streams in the Dessert
To lay hold of a promise means to get possession of, to seize, to take hold of, to hold fast to and to continue to hold onto. Hebrews 11:1 says, "now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen". This verse shows us that it is through faith that we can take hold of the things we are hoping and praying for. It is faith that will enable you to take hold and it is faith that will strengthen you to continue to hold on when you feel like you just can't do it any longer.
God is always greater than His promises; He does not only fulfill His promises, He over-fulfills them.
Ephesians 3:20
So by faith, begin to lay hold of your healing and refuse to let go. Press forward and take hold of breakthroughs for whatever you may be facing. Refuse to back down or stop there, grab onto that next promise from God and hold tight. Keep pressing into all that God has promised you and don't settle for anything less. Continue with steadfast faith until you see your promise come to pass.
All the promises of God in Christ are yes and amen. It was bought and paid for by Jesus Christ. You have everything you need to stand in faith. Tell your soul that the devil will not stand in the way of God's promises for you. The Lord himself will fight for you. The blood of JESUS speaks a better word. So hold your ground and refuse to let fear have the final say.
So be made strong even in your weakness by lifting up your tired hands in prayer and worship. And strengthen your weak knees, for as you keep walking forward on God’s paths all your stumbling ways will be divinely healed!
Hebrews 10:12-13
Standing on His promises with you.
